Hey everyone and welcome Back to the blues effect. I know it has been some time since ive written in this blog but i am happily to annouce im back in the driver seat. Not only will i continue to support my love for the vs system tcg, but will now being writting articles on upper deck’s new upcomming marvel tcg, Marvel Superstars right here on the blues effect.
Although the game wont be officially release til march preview cards have been popping up all over ude marvel superstar site and the first premire blog for the new marvel game, simply titled marvel superstars blog. After looking at these previews ive notice an interaction between two cards that i know will be staples in future decks similar to swarm builds of the xmen deck in vs system, most noteablely known as x-babies. After the closing of neutral ground this pass december there hasnt been a place in the new york city area that was convienently located for players to attend hobby league. well i have good news for everyone! With the success of Game day over at the Staten Island,ny location of jim hanley’s universe i am pround to inform you all that the manhatten location in the center of the city will now be hosting vs system hobby league starting this friday on the 20th of feburary.Here are all the details fleshed out by steve (watchman12):

Hey everyone and welcome back to the blues effect. Since last week there have been mysterious ads popping up all over the blogosphere with catchy catch phrases that kept many guessing at what it could mean. You can see some of these ads here, here and here. After discussions and debates everyone over on the forums deducted that the ads where in fact the remaining half of the marvel equipment mini-set expansion. Low and behold those deductions where correct! You hand find the first preview of the unreleased half of the meq set over at carlos the dwarths blog here!

hey everyone and welcome back to the blues effect.I know i havent posted in the past few days as i usually do to entertain you all with vs goodness. The reason for the gaps in postings is that i have been really busy. I work for my family’s Graphic installation company where we specialize in advertisements and i have had my hands full installing this beauty
on quite a bit of buses. So my crazy work schedule may get in the way in the daily up dates ( you can blame the watchmen, and my father ..cough.. boss..cough.lol) but i will get back on the ball as soon as i can.

Hey every one and welcome back to the blues effect. I would like to inform you all that the battle in the apple in nyc was a huge success. I was very proud to see that the Vs system community was in full force supporting this event. For those of you who couldn’t make, I have promised you a tournament report and you all shall have it. My write up of the modern event of the battle in the apple can found here at vssystem.org, the new mothership for vssystem.
The modern event wasn’t the only tournament to take at this venue. There was also a silver event that was played right after the modern. You can find the tournament report for the silver event written by Rob HERE, which is also on vssystem.org.
If you’re not really into tournament reports, how about some video coverage of the event. Alex (0range_soda_man) posted some youtube videos from his recordings of the battle in the apple over at his blog, vsunleashed. Be sure to check it out, it’s a fun watch with a few laughs.
